Rosalind Creasy is a pioneer in the field of Edible Landscaping- namely the art of turning over your lawn in favor of a lush and tastefully arranged garden full of vegetables, fruits and other unlikely edibles. More than just growing food though, Ros is most likely the nation’s expert on the landscaping aspect of this art- using edibles to make a truly beautiful garden that is also wonderfully functional. She has published innumerable garden books, and is working on her biggest to date, the updated Edible Landscaping (Sierra Club Books 2010). Ros asked me to take a number of author photographs to be used in this book and her other upcoming publications. We came away with a nice mix that she can rotate through for the next several years. Below are just a few, concentrating on the author- but check out the edible nasturtium flowers and cabbage in the backgrounds. Everything has a purpose!
Be sure to check out Ros’ new book next year, and if you haven’t already, think about gardening! I can’t wait for my group of Early Girl tomatoes to come in this summer. Should be about 4 weeks!
