Yesterday I went out for my first photo shoot with the Baja Challenge team. We went out to El Triunfo, a small town in the foothills, and then left town to ride through the cactus covered hillside. I took pictures of the family-oriented riding that they do, then headed out with some of the guys for an exhausting (but really fun!) trial of their more intense trails. I would never have thought that I would do something that would make my wedding photography job seem easy. But after sleeping for 14 hours last night- I think I’ve found that genre of photography. I can’t believe that Lenin, one of the bike guides from our trip did all of the riding with us, and then went off for a bike race that same night. He then got up at 5am today to do another race in Cabo San Lucas. I guess he’s found a great career doing something he loves.
I had a wonderful time, and it was such a treat to get off the main roads and into the rural communities. Special thanks to Miguel for helping to set this all up! Here are a few shots.
