I’ve been fully immersed in summer wedding season, with a flurry of recent weddings and engagement shoots. I’ll come up for air for a moment to share Cliff and Kristy’s engagement shoot, done at the San Francisco De Young Museum. I’ve been before to see the art, but have always wondered what it would be like to take pictures there. It has great copper walls, and modern architecture that we were able to do some great stuff with. Cliff and Kristy asked for a bit more of an edgy, modern, fashion sort of look- which pushed me to try a bit of a new approach to some of my image processing for some really different interpretations on color. I hope you enjoy!
This one is certainly one of my favorites. I love the way the grass is blowing in the wind, a stark contrast to the metal and modern look of the couple and building in the background.

I usually try to keep crisp and saturated, but a fairly natural color look. I tried to push it a little bit to bring out the rust color from these fantastic walls and spread it all around for an antique/modern blend. This was such a fun artistic shoot- both on the photography and the photoshop end.

Playing with reflections…

A little fun…

And ending with a different perspective, and a beautiful domed amphitheatre in Golden Gate Park.
