Julia and Stuart met at a Salsa class, and when I left them alone, it seemed like the couple just couldn’t stop dancing.

I’ll be looking forward to shooting Julia and Stuart’s wedding at El Mirador in Montecito (by Santa Barbara) this May.

I’ll be shooting their wedding this next October at Relais du Soleil in Glen Ellen. Can’t wait.

Jen and Ji were around for the day as well as my honorary “assistants”. Ji is Jess’ brother and will be the “man of honor” for the wedding.

I was encouraged to do pull-ups after this. Tim is an Ironman (just qualified for this year’s Hawaii competition, while Jess is doing an Olympic distance triathlon today!), so monkey bar shenanigans were no problem for this couple.

This could have been an out-take, but was just too cute not to keep, and even put on the blog.

I’ll be doing Mark and Andrea’s wedding this coming summer in Lake Tahoe. As a Stanford/Berkeley couple, they’ve had a long (but friendly) rivalry going, and a tradition of going to the Big Game together. For this fun-loving couple we skipped a trip to the rolling hills of Tilden Park or the streets of San Francisco and headed straight into the action: The Big Game. With the blowout well underway by the second half, we had ample opportunity to run around for a few photos, grab some nachos and lemonade, and just have an all around fantastic time.

It’s really hard to describe the energy of that many fans in one place. At least as a Stanford and a Berkeley grad I had ample cause to root for the winning team.

And the final score? Cal: 37 Stanford: 16.

As the season of weddings draws to a close, I am looking to push my photography to a new level, try some interesting things, and add a bit to what I can offer to my clients. Of course, the best way to do this is with practice. I also have the new top of the line camera from Nikon, and I will be joining another Berkeley photographer Peter Chang to put it to work with the new flagship camera from Canon that comes out at the end of November. We’ll be pulling out all the stops, with wireless flashes, big strobes, extra cool lighting and all sorts of nifty technical photo tricks.

Of course, we also need people for this to work. So here’s the deal. If you are a current client of mine, or a past client of mine, and would like to get some drop dead gorgeous photos of you and your significant other, just drop me a note. It’s totally free, and all I’ll need from you is a little patience and a few hours of your time. In return you’ll get the edited photos on a disk, and the chance to order any art prints that you would like. This would be totally separate and not affect anything in your existing packages. Just a few nice bonus shots!

If you are not a client yet, then send me a note telling me a little bit about yourself along with a picture of you and your significant other. This is open to everybody.

Preference will go to couples who would be willing to come in wedding attire. We’d probably be getting it a bit dirty (not too bad), but I promise it’ll be worth it. If there is a lot of interest, I might be able to do several shoots- though they will all have to fit in between November and early January.
